The Disappearance of Shirlene Donetta Roberts – Jacksonville, FL (2009)

Shirlene Donetta Roberts was just 23 when she vanished from Jacksonville, Florida. On the afternoon of September 10, 2009, she stepped outside her aunt’s home on Notter Avenue after a minor argument and never came back. She left behind her purse, phone, and even her shoes.

Witnesses later reported seeing an unknown man pull Shirlene into a vehicle before speeding away. That was the last known sighting of her.

Shirlene was born on January 28, 1986, and raised in Jacksonville. She worked at a bikini club called The Pony and had prior contact with law enforcement. These details don’t define her but they do speak to her reality as a young woman navigating survival. Her family remembers her as strong-willed and deeply loved.

The night before she vanished, she was reportedly seen leaving work with a man known for drug and weapon activity, though he was never officially linked to her disappearance. Police searched areas where Shirlene was known to spend time, including the 2800 block of Pearl Street, but found no answers. Flyers were posted and early news coverage brought attentionbut as time passed, the case went cold.

Shirlene Donetta Roberts was last seen on September 10, 2009. She is 4’11”, approximately 100 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance, and she is classified as an endangered missing person.

If you have any information, please contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers. Even the smallest detail could help bring closure to her loved ones.
